As you would expect from one of the largest housing associations, a lot of our work is with housing but what we really do is change people's lives. Personal growth and progress are at the heart of what we do.
Over 75% of our tenants told us they would like to own a home, but many of them thought this would never be possible. Many of our tenants remain in social housing, not realising that with the right guidance they are capable of moving into ownership.

This is why we have set up "Home Ownership Advice" - an advisory service designed to help tenants become home owners.

About the service

Home ownership is not for everyone. And we think it's important that our tenants realise this. It requires hard work, careful planning and financial discipline. It means sometimes making tough choices - expensive drinks out with friends or staying in and putting the money towards re-decorating the bathroom?
But the rewards are plain to see, a home of your own, the freedom to decorate your home how you want it and much more.

We are delighted that we can now offer the service to all of our customers: Permanent & Temporary rented tenants, as well as Shared Ownership applicants and lessees.
Home Ownership Advice service provides one to one information and advice on realistic housing options and opportunities available to our customers.

First time buyers can be confused by the range of Low Cost Home ownership options.  Existing shared owners may have considered buying additional shares in their property or their family has grown but cannot afford to buy outright. Home Options is there to help steer you in the right direction.
