Development vehicles and joint ventures

At Notting Hill Housing we develop in partnership to share risk and reward.

Joint ventures

On larger developments we prefer to share risk and reward, and therefore guarantee the delivery of a scheme with a joint venture. In this case we set up a company or special purpose vehicle with its own board and objectives.

Key London Alliance

The Key London Alliance (KLA) typifies the kind of joint venture collaboration that we see as part of our future. It is a unique company owned equally by Notting Hill Housing, Circle Anglia, Barratt Homes and Inspace Homes. Through the HCA funded London Wide Initiative the KLA will build approximately 2,000 new homes over five years, many of them on highly complex strategic sites.

Harmony and Parkside were both built by the KLA partnership and we will soon deliver another 170 homes in Brenley Park Merton through the KLA.

Development agreements

If a joint venture partnership is too complex we will use development agreements with our developer partners.

A development agreement means that the whole scheme is funded by Notting Hill Housing although we may ask developer partners to offer parent company guarantees.

Barham Park

The Barham Park regeneration, providing 335 new homes in Brent, is being delivered under a development agreement with Countryside Homes and the London Borough of Brent.
