Financial strength
Notting Hill Housing is one of the most financially robust housing associations in the UK.
Our record of success means we have a strong asset base which in turn lets us make quick, commercial decisions and deliver large-scale, high-quality developments.
We have:
- an asset base worth more than £2 billion
- a social housing business with an annual turnover of £214 million
- financial reserves of £264 million (2009/10)
- a gearing percentage – which represents our loans as a percentage of our assets – of just 37 per cent (as at 31 March 2010).
Funding in place
Our £200 million land bank fund allows us the freedom to compete for sites without waiting for others.
We have capital spend approvals of £250 million for rented homes, £150 million for shared ownership and £100 million for our private sales programme.
HCA investment partner
We are an investment partner of the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and in 2009 we received a grant allocation of £205 million, the highest in London.
