Notting Hill Housing is working with English Cities Fund – a joint venture vehicle between Muse Developments, Legal and General and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) – on the first phase of the £180m regeneration of Rathbone Market.

The 680,000sq ft Rathbone Market scheme is at the centre of the huge Canning Town and Custom House Regeneration Programme, and is a key strategic site for Newham.

Kickstarting regeneration

Notting Hill worked very closely with the developer and helped them obtain HCA Kickstart funding for the project which allowed the scheme to go ahead.

Overall the development is receiving £13.8m from the Mayor of London and the Homes and Communities Agency plus £1.5m from the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation.

Bold design creating a key destination

Designed by award-winning CZWG Architects, a London-based practice with an international reputation for bold and imaginative architecture, the development is set to become a key destination in this essential regeneration.
