About extra care
We have a number of extra care services that provide care and support to vulnerable people.
We also provide day care through our Elgin Close Resource Centre in Shepherds Bush, and Benwell Centre in Sunbury, Surrey.
Extra care accommodation
All of our extra care customers have their own flat. Most are one bedroom but there are some two bedroom flats.
Each flat has its own living room, kitchen and en-suite shower with wheelchair access.
Aids and adaptations
We often make adaptations to the flats so they suit each customers needs. For example, we might add reminder systems to help people manage their medication.
Because the needs of our customers may change over time we regularly review aids and adaptations and amend them as necessary.
24 hour support
Our extra care customers are able to live as independently as possible but should they need any help we have support staff on site 24 hours a day. Each flat also have access to a call system to contact the on site staff. Staff can help with anything from personal care to budgeting.
Catering
There are catering services on site providing food and drink for customers. There is a communal dining room if customers want to eat there rather than their own flat.
Communal areas
As well as a communal dining room, each of our extra care schemes has a communal sitting room, shared garden, hairdresser or activities room, and, in some services, a guest flat for visitors.
Referrals and eligibility
All referrals for our extra care service come from local authority Social Services teams.
Regulation
Notting Hill Pathways is registered to provide personal care. We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission and the Government's Supporting People quality assurance framework.
