Mary
Mary approached our In2Work Team looking for paid employment.
She had a lot of experience in arts education, but had been unemployed for over five years while she concentrated on bringing up her son.
Work placement with Notting Hill Housing
Mary wanted to gain basic admin experience, so we arranged for her to do a one day IT course and a work placement in our Property Services department.
During her placement, Mary's confidence grew and with our help she applied for a job as a Library Assistant at Chiswick Community School.
Interview skills
Our In2Work Team worked with Mary to improve her interview technique, concentrating on areas such as how to present herself, body language and answering questions fully.
The interview went really well and Mary was offered the post. She's really happy and said:
"This is a good start for me. I couldn't have done it without In2Work - it's been such a team effort."
