Asian elders service

Our Asian elders service provides support to Asian people in the community with housing related support needs.

The service is culturally sensitive and has a Punjabi speaking Support Officer with several years experience of working with older people.

What type of support will I get?

We provide support that is structured around your needs and aspirations and we draw up a support plan with you so that you know what to expect from us. The support we provide includes:

  • help with rent payments, utilities, budgeting,
  • reporting repairs dealing with correspondence maximising and maintaining your income
  • improving your access to a range of general and specialised healthcare services
  • help with access to specialised support, leisure and culturally specific services
  • advice on personal safety and security.

How can I apply for support?

Our Asian elders service is available to anyone who is:

  • aged 55 or above
  • living in a relevant borough (in some areas you may also have to be a Notting Hill tenant) – Ealing, Kensington and Chelsea, Hounslow, Hammersmith and Fulham
  • willing and able to live independently with support from us
  • in need of support to help set up, maintain or prevent the loss of their accommodation and/or independence
  • willing to work with a support worker towards focused outcomes as set out in their support plan.
