Asian elders service
Our Asian elders service provides support to Asian people in the community with housing related support needs.
The service is culturally sensitive and has a Punjabi speaking Support Officer with several years experience of working with older people.
What type of support will I get?
We provide support that is structured around your needs and aspirations and we draw up a support plan with you so that you know what to expect from us. The support we provide includes:
- help with rent payments, utilities, budgeting,
- reporting repairs dealing with correspondence maximising and maintaining your income
- improving your access to a range of general and specialised healthcare services
- help with access to specialised support, leisure and culturally specific services
- advice on personal safety and security.
How can I apply for support?
Our Asian elders service is available to anyone who is:
- aged 55 or above
- living in a relevant borough (in some areas you may also have to be a Notting Hill tenant) – Ealing, Kensington and Chelsea, Hounslow, Hammersmith and Fulham
- willing and able to live independently with support from us
- in need of support to help set up, maintain or prevent the loss of their accommodation and/or independence
- willing to work with a support worker towards focused outcomes as set out in their support plan.
