What is 'floating support'?
Floating support is support in your home for people with medium to high support needs.
This can include accessing services such as 'meals on wheels', or making sure they are financially stable.
We offer support to people who have:
- physical disabilties
- mental health needs
- learning disabilities.
We work closely with the person we're supporting, health staff, Social Services staff and the housing provider (where relevant).
Floating support lasts for up to two years and is available until the person is ready to live independently in their home without support.
Who can use the service?
We accept referrals from local authority departments, Social Services and voluntary groups who work with older people.
Floating support customers don't have to be Notting Hill Housing tenants, they can be living in social/private rented properties or be home owners.
The person being referred must be over 55 and living in one of these boroughs:
- Hammersmith and Fulham
- Harrow
- Hounslow
- Ealing
- Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Any potential risks to our staff must be identified and assessed before we are able to provide support.
