Step 1

• Buyer's interview
• Approximate time scale: 1 day

Step 2

• Appoint solicitors and confirm your mortgage lender's details with us
• Approximate time scale: 3 days

Step 3

• Searches – carried out by your solicitor (see note 1 below)
• Approximate time scale: 2 weeks

Step 4

• Survey (see note 1 below)
• Approximate time scale: 2 weeks

Step 5

• Mortgage offer – send one copy of the mortgage offer to us and one to your solicitor
• Approximate time scale: 3 weeks

Step 6

• Exchange contracts
• Approximate time scale: 4 weeks

Step 7

• Complete contracts (see note 2 below)
• Approximate time scale: 4 to 8 weeks.

Notes

1. Searches and surveys can be carried out at the same time.
2. A completion date will depend on whether your home is ready to move into.
